Corsair M65 PRO RGB FPS Gaming Mouse Overview

This is one of the many gaming mice that Corsair has released. This was released back in 2016 but it is still a very good gaming mouse today. The M65 pro has a 12,000 DPI (dots per inch) sensor that gives you precise tracking and surface calibration support. It is made of aircraft-grade aluminum from which means it is very lightweight, but also very durable at the same time. It also has weights at the bottom of it which means you can adjust the weight to your liking and with iCUE, you are able to change the button configuration and customise the RGB to your liking.

Connectivity

You can get a lot of mice that connect via Bluetooth or via a USB receiver but with the Corsair M65 PRO gaming mouse, you are only able to connect by a wired USB with a 1.8m braided fibre cable. At least you won’t suffer from a dead mouse half-way through a game.

Design and Comfort

This gaming mouse is made from aircraft-grade aluminum for maximum durability and lightness for daily use. As mentioned earlier this has an advanced weight tuning system, you have three adjustable tuning zones that allow you to customize the weight and to adjust the center of gravity to your liking. Along with this on the bottom, you have extra-large PTFE pads that are low friction to allow swift and precise movement with minimal effort on a variety of surfaces. There are 8 strategically placed buttons that are programmable through the Corsair Utility Engine (iCUE) which makes it easier for you to customize for each game that you play along with the RGB settings.

Pros & Cons

Pros
  • Looks great
  • Very good build quality
  • Responsive sensor
  • Very programmable
Cons
  • No choice of wireless
  • Can get quiet sweaty

My Conclusions

Overall this is a very good mouse, I currently use this one personally and have done for the last year. Unfortunately, it is wired but the wire is almost 2 meters long so if you have a desk setup it is more than enough however it can be a bit tight if you don’t have a desk. It is a very comfortable mouse to hold, you can use it for hours at a time without hurting or needing to change position, however as above it can get a bit sweaty after a while, also it is a very light mouse and has no issues on any surface that you use it on. It is very responsive no matter where you use it. It is a good-looking mouse in general and it is even better when you link up the RGB lights to the rest of your build, and the fact that you are able to program the extra buttons to whatever you want for the different games you play is a bonus. I think there is room for improvement for this mouse but for gaming, I personally find it a very good product for the price.
